The slotted drainboard drains straight through its slots rather than back to the bowl, so this 39 in (1 m) sink goes into a plan where the drainboard sits over a cabinet, not a dishwasher: a laundry room, a workshop wash station, a plant nursery potting bench or a farmhouse kitchen. Place it on floor plans and millwork layouts with the slots to the right.

A 39 in (100 cm) top needs a 39 in (100 cm) base or two 19½ in (50 cm) cabinets, and the slotted drainboard wants a drip tray below it.
