Tree with radial lines and broken tick rim
Free CAD block from the Trees in plan library (74 blocks), drawn 1:1.
About this block
Tree with radial lines and broken tick rim, drawn in plan view. It measures 11' 9" wide and 11' 5" deep (3.58 m × 3.48 m), and it is drawn 1:1, full size, so it drops into any drawing set up in meters or in inches without rescaling.
It also comes as a 3D model built from these drawings.

In practice
Where it goes
The broken tick rim and radial lines make a light symbol that prints cleanly at 1/16 in = 1 ft (1:200) and 1 in = 40 ft (1:500), so it belongs on urban site plans, parking lot layouts and permit submissions rather than on a garden drawing. Use it to fill avenues, planting strips and parking islands where many trees are repeated and each one should stay unobtrusive.
Clearances to leave
Slightly oval at 11 ft 9 in × 11 ft 5 in (358 × 348 cm), it covers a little more than one parking stall, 9 ft (2.7 m) wide, when set in an island between stalls. Space repeats 20–33 ft (6–10 m) apart along a street, and hold the trunk 18–24 in (46–61 cm) back from the curb face.
Pairs with
Alternate it with the Tree with dashed outline and radial spokes along an avenue so the row does not look stamped, and mark the odd specimen tree with the Hatched round tree canopy with crosshair and shadow for contrast.
Common questions
What are the dimensions of this block?
It measures 11' 9" | 3.58 m wide by 11' 5" | 3.48 m deep. The drawing is 1:1, full size, so it inserts at the right size in metric and in imperial drawings.
Is there a 3D model of this block?
Yes. A 3D model built from this block's drawings, 11' 9" wide, 11' 5" deep and 13' 11" high, is free to download in STEP, DXF 3D, OBJ, GLB, 3MF and STL. It is a closed part, so it also prints at 1:50 or 1:100 for a scale model.
File formats, AutoCAD versions and units are explained on the formats page; every file is free for personal and commercial work under the license.

3D model
Built at real size from the plan drawing, from its plan, which gives no height: a see-through crown whose top view is the drawn outline, with the trunk and its branches inside, 1.2 times as tall as it is wide (between 10 and 40 ft). Drag to orbit, underneath too; scroll or pinch to zoom.

Checks
- Canopy edge to the house wall7' 3"Minimum 3' 3", recommended 6' 7"
Design notes
- Keep tree canopies at least 6' 7" from the house; large species need half their mature spread.
- A terrace for a table of four needs about 9' 10" × 9' 10" to move round it.
- Plan symbols at their real canopy size show clients how much shade a tree will give.
