Small double bed with folded-back corner
Free CAD block from the Beds with clearances library (86 blocks), drawn 1:1.
About this block
Small double bed with folded-back corner, drawn in plan, front and side elevation, the front and side elevations projected from its 3D model with hidden lines removed. It measures 3' 11" wide, 6' 3" deep and 3' 3" high (1.20 m × 1.90 m × 1.00 m), and it is drawn 1:1, full size, so it drops into any drawing set up in meters or in inches without rescaling.
It also comes as a 3D model built from these drawings.
From the Beds with clearances library: 86 blocks drawn to one standard, each one available on its own.
In practice
Where it goes
Compact hotel rooms, studio apartments and loft bedrooms under a sloping roof, where a 47 in (120 cm) small double is the widest bed the room takes. The folded-back corner shows which side is for getting in, which helps when the other side is pushed against a wall. Place it in plan layouts at ¼ in = 1 ft (1:50) and in furniture schedules for extended-stay apartments.
Clearances to leave
Against a wall, leave 24 in (60 cm) on the open side, so bed and access strip need 71 in (180 cm) of width; freestanding with 24 in (60 cm) both sides it needs 7 ft 10 in (240 cm). The 6 ft 3 in (190 cm) length is 4 in (10 cm) shorter than a standard double, which matters in a room 9 ft 2 in (280 cm) long.
Pairs with
Pair with Narrow single bed with one nightstand for a family room sleeping three, and keep Barrel-back tub armchair with throw pillow near the window. A single nightstand on the folded-corner side keeps the walk-in side free.

Is there a 3D model of this block?
Yes. A 3D model built from this block's drawings, 3' 11" wide, 6' 3" deep and 3' 3" high, is free to download in STEP, DXF 3D, OBJ, GLB, 3MF and STL. It is a closed part, so it also prints at 1:50 or 1:100 for a scale model.
File formats, AutoCAD versions and units are explained on the formats page; every file is free for personal and commercial work under the license.

- Keep the door swing free of furniture, and avoid placing the bed in line with the door.
