Two-leaf sliding door with four equal panels
Free CAD block from the Doors in elevation library (148 blocks), drawn 1:1.
About this block
Two-leaf sliding door with four equal panels, drawn in plan, front and side elevation, the plan and the side elevation projected from its 3D model with hidden lines removed. It measures 5' 11" wide, 6' 11" high and 6½" deep (1.80 m × 2.10 m × 16 cm), and it is drawn 1:1, full size, so it drops into any drawing set up in meters or in inches without rescaling.
It also comes as a 3D model built from these drawings.
From the Doors in elevation library: 148 blocks drawn to one standard, each one available on its own.
In practice
Where it goes
Four equal panels on a pair of leaves make a meeting-room door, a classroom pair or a restaurant entrance. It goes on the interior elevation of the room and on the corridor elevation outside it. The equal panels give a calm rhythm that works in a lobby where several of these open side by side.
Clearances to leave
The 71 in (180 cm) frame holds two leaves that slide one behind the other, so about half of it opens: some 32½ in (83 cm) clear, just over the 32 in (81 cm) accessible minimum, under a 6 ft 11 in (210 cm) head. There is no swing to keep clear, so furniture can stand close to either face.
Pairs with
Two-leaf sliding door with tall twin panels and plain base is the alternative at the same width. Man in shirt and tie gesturing with both hands works as a scale figure. Two of these as a symmetric pair either side of a lobby.
Common questions
What are the dimensions of this block?
It measures 5' 11" | 1.80 m wide by 6' 11" | 2.10 m high. The drawing is 1:1, full size, so it inserts at the right size in metric and in imperial drawings.
Is there a 3D model of this block?
Yes. A 3D model built from this block's drawings, 5' 11" wide, 6½" deep and 6' 11" high, is free to download in STEP, DXF 3D, OBJ, GLB, 3MF and STL.
File formats, AutoCAD versions and units are explained on the formats page; every file is free for personal and commercial work under the license.

3D model
Built at real size from the front drawing, from its front elevation: each leaf a panel of its own in one of two tracks, the back leaves running on behind the front ones, aluminium tracks at the sill and the head, the glazed openings in glass and the panels in a second tone; the arrows drawn on the elevation are only the sliding symbol and are not built. Drag to orbit, underneath too; scroll or pinch to zoom.

How big is it?
At 6' 11" high it reaches 121% of an adult's height and 101% of a door.
On your sheet
At 1/2" = 1'-0" the drawing prints 2.95 in × 3.44 in on Letter.

Design notes
- Street trees are usually planted 19' 8" to 32' 10" apart, at least 3' 3" from the curb.
- A parallel parking bay is about 6' 7" to 8' 2" wide and 18' 1" to 19' 8" long.
- People and cars at real size give clients an instant sense of scale in a facade drawing.
