Rectangular dining table for eight with armchairs
Free CAD block from the Dining tables with chairs library (86 blocks), drawn 1:1.
About this block
Rectangular dining table for eight with armchairs, drawn in plan, front and side elevation, the front and side elevations projected from its 3D model with hidden lines removed. It measures 9' 6" wide, 6' 3" deep and 2' 10" high (2.89 m × 1.90 m × 86 cm), and it is drawn 1:1, full size, so it drops into any drawing set up in meters or in inches without rescaling.
It also comes as a 3D model built from these drawings.

In practice
Where it goes
Dining armchairs mark a formal room: a boardroom used for lunches, a club dining room, the main dining room of a large house or a hotel suite. The plan block shows eight armchairs with their arms drawn, so the set is clearly not a kitchen table. Center it on the room, chandelier above, with a sideboard drawn along the longest blank wall.
Clearances to leave
Armchairs are wider than side chairs, so the block is 9 ft 6 in by 6 ft 3 in (289 by 190 cm) and each diner takes the full 28 in (70 cm) of edge. Leave 40 in (100 cm) behind every chair, as an armchair cannot slide sideways past its neighbors, and 48 in (120 cm) on the sideboard side.
Pairs with
The carved look suits the Wide armchair with scalloped back and scroll carvings at the fireplace and the Three-seat sofa with scalloped back and scroll carvings opposite. Draw matching sideboard and table on the same centerline for a symmetric room.
Common questions
What are the dimensions of this block?
It measures 9' 6" | 2.89 m wide by 6' 3" | 1.90 m deep. The drawing is 1:1, full size, so it inserts at the right size in metric and in imperial drawings.
Is there a 3D model of this block?
Yes. A 3D model built from this block's drawings, 9' 6" wide, 6' 7" deep and 2' 10" high, is free to download in STEP, DXF 3D, OBJ, GLB, 3MF and STL. It is a closed part, so it also prints at 1:50 or 1:100 for a scale model.
File formats, AutoCAD versions and units are explained on the formats page; every file is free for personal and commercial work under the license.
