Rectangular dining table for eight with tapered chairs
Free CAD block from the Dining tables with chairs library (86 blocks), drawn 1:1.
About this block
Rectangular dining table for eight with tapered chairs, drawn in plan, front and side elevation, the front and side elevations projected from its 3D model with hidden lines removed. It measures 9' 6" wide, 6' 0" deep and 2' 10" high (2.90 m × 1.84 m × 86 cm), and it is drawn 1:1, full size, so it drops into any drawing set up in meters or in inches without rescaling.
It also comes as a 3D model built from these drawings.

In practice
Where it goes
Tapered chairs, narrower at the back than at the front, read on plan as small trapezoids, and that is what makes this eight-seater useful on a presentation floor plan where the furniture carries some character. Place it in the dining room of a larger house, a rectory, or a serviced apartment, three chairs a side and one at each end.
Clearances to leave
End chairs stretch the block to 9 ft 6 in by 6 ft (290 by 184 cm). Allow 36 in (90 cm) behind each end chair, since whoever sits there gets out sideways, and 44 in (110 cm) behind the long sides if the room is also a route; against a wall the tapered backs manage with 36 in (90 cm) too.
Pairs with
The tapered shape repeats in the Oval dining table for eight with tapered chairs, which is the round-ended alternative for the same room. Add a Four-seat sofa with plump arms and three pillows beyond it. A long runner down the center reads well in plan.
Common questions
What are the dimensions of this block?
It measures 9' 6" | 2.90 m wide by 6' 0" | 1.84 m deep. The drawing is 1:1, full size, so it inserts at the right size in metric and in imperial drawings.
Is there a 3D model of this block?
Yes. A 3D model built from this block's drawings, 9' 9" wide, 6' 4" deep and 2' 10" high, is free to download in STEP, DXF 3D, OBJ, GLB, 3MF and STL. It is a closed part, so it also prints at 1:50 or 1:100 for a scale model.
File formats, AutoCAD versions and units are explained on the formats page; every file is free for personal and commercial work under the license.
