Rounded armchair with stitched seams
Free CAD block from the Sofas library (193 blocks), drawn 1:1.
About this block
Rounded armchair with stitched seams, drawn in plan, front and side elevation, the elevations drawn to match the plan. It measures 2' 8" wide, 2' 7" deep and 2' 7" high (82 cm × 80 cm × 80 cm), and it is drawn 1:1, full size, so it drops into any drawing set up in meters or in inches without rescaling.
It also comes as a 3D model built from these drawings.

In practice
Where it goes
A plan-view armchair for living rooms, hotel lobbies and the reading corner of a library or assisted-living lounge. Drop it into the furniture layout on the first floor plan, turned slightly toward the sofa or facing a window, and keep the stitched seam lines on at ¼ in = 1 ft (1:50) so the rounded outline reads as upholstery rather than as a plain tub chair.
Clearances to leave
Allow 16–18 in (40–45 cm) between its front and a coffee table, and 24 in (60 cm) behind it wherever anyone walks past. At 32 in (82 cm) wide it sits inside a 36 in (90 cm) grid bay, and its 31 in (80 cm) depth lets a facing pair across a 8 ft (2.5 m) group leave a 36 in (90 cm) path down one side.
Pairs with
Face it toward the Three-seat sofa with rounded track arms across the Rectangular coffee table with inset top, or put two of them either side of the Round-shade tripod floor lamp. A boucle or heavy wool suits the rounded, seamed shape.
Common questions
What are the dimensions of this block?
It measures 2' 8" | 82 cm wide by 2' 7" | 80 cm deep. The drawing is 1:1, full size, so it inserts at the right size in metric and in imperial drawings.
Is there a 3D model of this block?
Yes. A 3D model built from this block's drawings, 2' 8" wide, 2' 7" deep and 2' 7" high, is free to download in STEP, DXF 3D, OBJ, GLB, 3MF and STL. It is a closed part, so it also prints at 1:50 or 1:100 for a scale model.
File formats, AutoCAD versions and units are explained on the formats page; every file is free for personal and commercial work under the license.
