Two-seat sofa with square arms and two-tier back
Free CAD block from the Sofas library (193 blocks), drawn 1:1.
About this block
Two-seat sofa with square arms and two-tier back, drawn in plan, front and side elevation, the elevations drawn to match the plan. It measures 4' 6" wide, 2' 3" deep and 2' 7" high (1.36 m × 69 cm × 80 cm), and it is drawn 1:1, full size, so it drops into any drawing set up in meters or in inches without rescaling.
It also comes as a 3D model built from these drawings.
From the Sofas library: 193 blocks drawn to one standard, each one available on its own.
In practice
Where it goes
Hotel suite living areas, executive offices and apartment living rooms take this two-seater. On an office plan it faces the desk across the room as the visitor seating; on a residential plan it sits opposite the screen wall. The square arms and the double rear line of the two-tier back give it a sharp, boxy outline that survives reduction to ⅛ in = 1 ft (1:100).
Clearances to leave
Keep 40–48 in (100–120 cm) between it and an office chair if it faces a desk, and 16–18 in (40–45 cm) to a low table. At 54 in (136 cm) it seats two comfortably at 27 in (68 cm) each, and the 27 in (69 cm) depth leaves 36 in (91 cm) in a 63 in (160 cm) bay, clearing the 36 in (90 cm) route.
Pairs with
Add the Armchair with wide square arms and two-tier back at one end, or step up to the Three-seat sofa with square arms and two-tier back in a longer room. The TV console with slatted doors and splayed legs sits opposite in a matching walnut.
Common questions
What are the dimensions of this block?
It measures 4' 6" | 1.36 m wide by 2' 3" | 69 cm deep. The drawing is 1:1, full size, so it inserts at the right size in metric and in imperial drawings.
Is there a 3D model of this block?
Yes. A 3D model built from this block's drawings, 4' 6" wide, 2' 3" deep and 2' 7" high, is free to download in STEP, DXF 3D, OBJ, GLB, 3MF and STL. It is a closed part, so it also prints at 1:50 or 1:100 for a scale model.
File formats, AutoCAD versions and units are explained on the formats page; every file is free for personal and commercial work under the license.
