Two-seat sofa with rounded wraparound frame
Free CAD block from the Living and dining room furniture library (167 blocks), drawn 1:1.
About this block
Two-seat sofa with rounded wraparound frame, drawn in plan, front and side elevation, the front and side elevations projected from its 3D model with hidden lines removed. It measures 7' 8" wide, 2' 11" deep and 2' 8" high (2.33 m × 88 cm × 80 cm), and it is drawn 1:1, full size, so it drops into any drawing set up in meters or in inches without rescaling.
It also comes as a 3D model built from these drawings.

In practice
Where it goes
The wraparound frame makes a continuous outer line in plan, a shape for contemporary apartments, co-working lounges and hotel lobbies where the sofa is seen from behind. Draw it on the floor plan with the back toward an open kitchen or a corridor, where the rounded frame softens the edge of the seating zone.
Clearances to leave
With 7 ft 8 in (233 cm) of length and a wraparound frame that takes part of it, two sitters have plenty at 26–28 in (65–70 cm) each. Give the 35 in (88 cm) depth 15½–17½ in (40–45 cm) to a coffee table in front and 24 in (60 cm) behind for a path, and 4 in (10 cm) to a wall at each end.
Pairs with
Pair it with the Boxy armchair with wide wraparound frame from the sofas set and the Lounge chair with ottoman, arc lamp and round rug, around a Rectangular coffee table with inset top; a frame in light oak with a gray seat.
