Thick-walled bathtub with wall-mounted spout and two handles
Free CAD block from the Modern bathroom set library (78 blocks), drawn 1:1.
About this block
Thick-walled bathtub with wall-mounted spout and two handles, drawn in section, with the plan, front and side elevation of its 3D, the plan and the front and side elevations projected from its 3D model with hidden lines removed. It measures 3' 4" wide, 21½" high and 5' 11" deep (1.02 m × 55 cm × 1.80 m), and it is drawn 1:1, full size, so it drops into any drawing set up in meters or in inches without rescaling.
It also comes as a 3D model built from these drawings.

In practice
Where it goes
Cross-sections through a family bathroom need the tub cut across its width, and that is what this one gives: a stout wall thickness, the spout coming out of the tiled wall and the two handles above it. Place it in a building section or a wall elevation of the faucet end, where the spout height and handle spacing need a dimension line.
Clearances to leave
At 3 ft 4 in (102 cm) across, it is wider than most alcove tubs, so a 59 in (150 cm) room width leaves under 20 in (50 cm) beside it; aim for 24 in (60 cm) clear. Set the spout 6–8 in (15–20 cm) above the 21½ in (55 cm) rim, handles a hand's width to each side.
Pairs with
Goes with the Corner bathtub with whirlpool pump and central drain for the other end of the room in the same section, and with the Oval washbasin seen from the narrow end with outlet. Try a dark stone surround that matches the thick rim.
Common questions
What are the dimensions of this block?
It measures 3' 4" | 1.02 m wide by 21½" | 55 cm high. The drawing is 1:1, full size, so it inserts at the right size in metric and in imperial drawings.
Is there a 3D model of this block?
Yes. A 3D model built from this block's drawings, 3' 4" wide, 5' 11" deep and 21½" high, is free to download in STEP, DXF 3D, OBJ, GLB, 3MF and STL. It is a closed part, so it also prints at 1:50 or 1:100 for a scale model.
File formats, AutoCAD versions and units are explained on the formats page; every file is free for personal and commercial work under the license.

Design notes
- Sink rim at 2' 7" to 2' 11" suits most adults (2' 10" at most where it must be accessible).
- Mount the shower slide bar so its top bracket sits around 6' 5" to 7' 1".
- Leave 8" between a sink and a toilet tank so both can be cleaned.
